I was not informed that the brake discs and pads would need to be run in so they were very spongy when driving away and felt like the car would not stop in time. I could also not get through on the phone line and messages were not passed on.
James was an outstanding salesman, helpful and attentive, keeping us up to date and making us feel very welcome. Dave was also very good and explained everything very clearly. Everyone was friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience

Jermaine Crewes at Ocean in Paignton made the purchase smooth and problem free. As a result this is the second new mini I have purchased from the Paignton site this year.
The customer service given by Harriet Fancy at Mini Ocean Paignton was the reason I finally went with the mini! She was efficient, organized without being too pushy. If only all car sales staff could be like her!
Ocean was the second MINI garage I visited as I wasn't happy with the sales approach & attitude at the first garage. Dealing with Ocean was a completely different sales process - 100% better!
Very efficient team dealt with us. However we were told it would be ready for collection on a certain day but we're phoned the day before to say they had a backlog so it would not be ready on time and they would phone again when it would.

Harriet wasn't too pushy and under stood what we wanted and our budget.
I was advised that the service would take 90 minutes but it took much longer - over 2 hours. Also, I was offered a wash and vac which I accepted but when I was advised my car was ready for me, no wash or vac had taken place.

The purchase was extremely straight forward. James, the sales rep, made it exceptionally easy for me despite me primarily being away on business and only contactable via email. There was highly pro-active in finding ways to help.
I'm satisfied. Jermaine got my super excited! He would even go the extra step to email me out of working hours. He is a credit to the team!

Extra work was needed doing on the car and this was added on after a phone consultation which was useful. However the valet and clean which was mentioned was not done, presumably due to time constraints

I was under the impression that the car would be cleaned after service, not sure if this happened, if it did it was not a very good job. But as it was the service I was keen to get done it did not detract from my comments above
Service took exactly as long as I was advised when I left the car. Car returned cleaned and all ok. Waiting area could be larger but appreciate this will be addressed when Ocean move to new premises.
Ocean BMW have a fantastic team of staff. We have bought BMW's from there and this mini. Trevor and Jermaine were wonderful.
I had to wait about half an hour to be given the loan car ( pre arranged) and half an hour to pick the car up, even though I had just been telephoned to collect it.

When I booked the service I was told it would take about 2 hours. When I checked the car in I was told it would take all day, resulting in my husband running me home and then taking me back to pick the car up, a round trip of an 1.5 hours twice!
All brilliant but they forgot to update the clock, one hour wrong, and I've wasted hours trying to do it myself

The only downside was the time waiting to be seen by the service desk even though I had been booked in - perhaps I had turned up a little bit later than planned though so that might explain it
